Hello hello,

I was recommended to use this forum to air out an issue so please hear me out. Quick note this is not towards any hate or any animosity towards anyone, thank you I love playing on this server. Whenever there are boss fights, I feel the way the rewards are distributed aren't reliable and purely unjust. The way I perceive it, everyday at 8:30 EST a hard boss is spawned. Whenever you join the battle for the boss regardless of the health, gear, skill, and/or participation, you will still receive a reward regardless of what you did as long as you are in the arena when said boss perishes. For me, there are 3 main flaws.

1. The people who are participating the most, doing the most damage, and using everything in their arsenal are not getting treated with proper victories. They are still presented with a reward at the end equivalent or slightly better/worse than everyone else which ends up being like a rare key for example. This makes some of them as if the fights are not worth the effort.

2. On the other hand, those who do little to nothing or show up at the last minute of a boss battle get presented with the same rewards of those you fought their soul out. Did they help? Yes however, did they provide the same participation and damage than those who have been there from the start? No. What's stopping someone from popping in right at the end, standing in a corner and then leaving once they have been granted their trophy? (Granted you could have a rule against that I'm not sure but you get the picture)

3. For those who leave the boss fight, who don't come back and get nothing is unfair. I can understand where you're coming from with this system though. But, what about if they participated heavily, then they give up or couldn't go back because they were busy in game or in real life, they just get nothing? It doesn't feel right that those who pulled their weight then drop and don't come just get handed nothing for what they put in.

Here's an example of all three that happened Last Night 3/3/24. Around 8:30 I was fighting the Dragon Warrior alongside my friend Rayfe and a third player whom I can't remember. We three fought this boss for about 20 minutes until it was about 20-15% health left. Then Beast along with 2-3 other players hop into the boss fight to help. When the boss is just about two Seconds from dying, I wind up taking a lethal shot and dying. I'm sent back to spawn and the boss dies Resulting in: Rayfe and third original member getting a rare key even though they've been there the entire fight and pulling monumental weight. Everyone else who fought receiving rare and I believe a couple got epics even though they just joined the fray, and because I died at the final moment and couldn't get back in time in the arena and wound up with nothing after 25 minutes of wasted time, resources, and materials. This isn't right at all. I can not look at this and see it being fair. Fair to those who tried and fair to those who fell.

I propose a better solution (I'm not saying you should 100% take this one) Is to make the rewards system based on how much damage each player dealt overall against the boss. 1st place gets something great, second place receives something good and so on. So even if you left the boss fight or joined late, if you still participated you still get something and for those fought most, it'd would feel well deserved.

Please take a look into this. I believe this will benefit more people than you think. My Dm's are always open in the afternoons and nights, and I hop on the server everyday. Please!

With Gratitude

I agree that the way boss fight rewards are distributed isn't really fair. I don't know a perfect way that we can solve this, but I like your thinking. I think a good rewards system with the damage leaderboard could be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place getting a piece of equipment, 1st place getting an omega key, maybe like 2nd through 5th getting epic keys, and anyone else getting rare keys. This could be altered based on the number of players in the arena but my numbers are based on the average number of players I see in the boss battles. The damage leaderboard disadvantages players with weaker gear, but that's kind of the point of boss battles, where you are rewarded for your strength. This system would also prevent the practice of noobs running into the boss when its at 1 HP to try to steal drops. The damage leaderboard would incentivize real participation in the boss fight. This system might have some complexities with players that leave or die, I don't know if those damage stats are able to be tracked through worlds like that, but that would also just serve to penalize dying, like dying is supposed to.

Your understanding of how bosses work is flawed.

If you die and arent there when the boss dies, you get nothing. Its how it is thats how threat works in MC It wont change.

The earlier boss already has top damagers get rewards scaling based on who did the most damage.

If you die, obsiously, it resets.

Then the gear is dropped to one lucky person on the ground along with other random things. And its random. You 100% could get nothing, and thats exactly how its intended to be.

Secondly.

8:30 bosses, it doesnt matter. Its meant to be a more enjoyable boss for everyone to participate in and get equal rewards. And thats exactly how it is, if your there fighting it, your going to get the same loot as everyone else. Sometimes, that means nothing.

Bosses includes the rewards of the best things in the games, if you expect to get something every time, well, thats just simply not going to happen.
