Suggestion Title: Skills cause lack of player retention
Suggestion Category: Plugins
Description: After playing last year and seeing what's happening now, I think it would be best for the server if the skills plugin was removed and either a new skills plugin such as mcmmo or something else was inputted. The current skills plugin promotes not utilizing everything in the server and instead to try to get away with auto clicking/macroing or no life swing a sword for 200+ hours. Those who have the time to do this or get away with cheating, tend to harass everyone on the server causing new players to leave and the server to slowly decrease in player count. If people couldn't one shot others with wood swords it would greatly increase the retention of a new player. I just think it ruined last season and caused many players to stop playing due to lack of fun since they needed to waste their free time just swinging a sword for a month straight just to not be harassed. I think something like the custom enchants that survival has would definitely receive a better crowd. Something like that still offers a way to grind, but in a fun way. Plus, new players would still be able to have a shot in playing the server since it doesn't take months of boredom to get.
Pros: New players would stay longer. Server would get more funding if armor/weapons were more of a priority over cheating/no lifing. Less toxicity to players who are either new or those who would rather focus more on the kingdom plugins.
Cons: The only downside is the, let's say "negative" feedback those who cheat/no life will give.
Additional Comments: I think I was the only person who actually took advantage of all the plugins last season. I enjoyed it lots, others though voiced their opinions a lot about the server and that was because the only way they saw they could do anything was by grinding skills. The dungeons and kingdom aspect are actually fun, but if you get one shotted by a wood sword it's hard to take part in.
